Prevent pressure on your feet
She says that pressure on the feet results in inflammation to your feet’ tendons and the plantar fascia. This makes steps quite painful, especially in the morning. She adds that carrying extra weight affects the arch of your feet, so it is important for you to maintain this arch to withstand the force from the body as a whole.
Reduce the risks of gout
When you control your weight, you can also reduce the risks of gout and any foot issue related to diabetes. She says that when you have extra weight, this will lead to additional chronic diseases. When you lose the extra weight, you can stop gouts from occurring in the body. They are crystals of uric acid that form in your feet. When you maintain a healthy weight, you can curb complications of diabetes, like reduce the flow of blood in the legs, nerves, and feet.
Keeps aside arthritis and injuries to the ankle
People who are obese and overweight are more at risk of sustaining ankle injuries due to the extra pressure when they walk. In addition, people must maintain a healthy weight to reduce person’s risks of developing a condition called rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis as it stops damage from being caused to the body’s cartilages and joints.
Selin Sakarcan sums up by saying that the feet in the body are essential for several body movements. One should check the condition of their feet by consulting a podiatric physician, especially injuries and discomfort are experienced.
